The 2013 Noosa Jazz Festival brings together great music and food at outdoor concerts and intimate restaurant shows, with some of the best jazz and musical talent from around Australia and the world, set against the beautiful backdrop of Noosa.

Headlining the event are the acclaimed a capella group, The Idea of North, a quartet of musicians who are serious about their music, without taking themselves too seriously. Also performing are Monica Trapaga, James Valentine, Gregg Arthur, Casper Tromp Quintet, Rebecca Mendoza, The Joe Ruberto Trio, Fem Belling, The Bearded Gypsy Band, Ingrid James Quartet, Matt Baker Trio, The Ant Aggs Trio and The Simontologists, with more artists to be announced soon.

Celebrate the start of spring with more than 90 performances including open-air concerts on the purpose-built Main Stage overlooking the Noosa River in Festival Village, Lions Park, Noosa Heads; Jazz River Cruises; Noosa Jazz Party with classic jazz at Bicentennial Hall, home of the Noosa Jazz Club; Legends Lunch and a new Masterclass series where aspiring artists can learn from headlining artists.

The popular and delicious Tastings on Hastings event is a feast for the eyes and taste-buds as Hastings Street is transformed into a pop-up restaurant for 600 diners on Friday August 30. The street is closed to traffic as restaurants including Gaston, Aromas, La Vida, Rococo, Season Restaurant, Bistro C and Berardos on the Beach set up their tables on the street and diners enjoy a two-course lunch accompanied by wines and beers while being entertained by a roving stage of jazz musicians. Tickets for Tastings on Hastings cost $85 and are now on sale.

Early-bird tickets for the Noosa Jazz Festival are now on sale from $30 through noosajazz.com.au
